Don't Tap The White Tiles 2 1.1.1

Piano Tiles?

When I played Piano Tiles (or Don't Tap The White Tile) for the first time it evoked images of Charlie Chaplin's character working hard on the assembly line in Modern Times. 'This game is very close to being work'.

Piano Tiles

After a few minutes fiddling around the settings menu and trying out different play modes, It finally dawned on me that I have played this type of game before. More exactly, it resembled Guitar Hero. Don't get too hyped. Unlike Guitar Hero, Piano Tiles does not feature a running music track. Instead, every correct 'keystroke' will play a note of the current song. Depending on the game mode, keys will either fall down continuously or wait for you to tap, in which case you will be set against limited time.

Also, unlike the aforementioned guitar game, Piano Tiles punishes your mistakes by interrupting play. Your score is essentially equal to the number of keystrokes that you've made and it accumulates into a point pool which you can spend to either ignore failed notes, get a head start or to buy new songs. Songs are selected randomly. The only control you have is to exclude specific songs from the 'playlist'.

For such a simple game there are quite a few ways in which ti play it. From larger key ranges to changing keys, reduced view distance and other unfair disadvantages, Piano Tiles can keep you entertained for a while, or until you hand ligaments hurt.
